Assalamu Alaikum,
The adaab of ahlus sunnah is to put our AKA alaihis salaam at the top ie. number one and then mention all the intermediaries until the current shaykh is the last on the list ie. at the bottom.
it is a wahabi trait to start with oneself and put AKA alaihis salaam at the bottom.
wassalaam,
JazakAllah for your valuable comment ya sayyidi.
Sidi, you point out that it is a ‘wahhabi’ trait to have the blessed name of our beloved Master Salla’Llahu ‘Alayhi wa Sallam at the ‘bottom’.
Although I accept your point with grace, I would however like to point out that it is in actual fact a continuation of a Sufi chain. In fact the name of Allah is actually at the very ‘bottom’. Surely, this must be even ‘worse’?
Ya sayyidi, with out coming across as ‘preachy’, I would like to draw your attention to the following link:
The Sanad of AlaHazrat
As you can clearly see sidi, the author who wrote this article also puts the name of our Master Salla’Llahu ‘Alayhi wa Sallam at the very ‘bottom’!
‘Wahhabi’ trait also? No?
Ma’salam sidi, remember this sinner in your du’as.
